The return of (G)I-DLE is already showing great promise!
On the evening of January 29, KST, (G)I-DLE made a much-awaited comeback with their second full-length album “2”, featuring the lead single “Super Lady.”
As per Hanteo Chart, the album “2” sold a remarkable 862,992 copies on its first day of sales, surpassing (G)I-DLE’s previous record of 689,502 first-day sales set by their 2023 mini album “I feel.”
With this, (G)I-DLE has now secured the fifth spot in the list of girl groups with the highest first-day sales in Hanteo history, trailing behind only aespa, NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, and BLACKPINK.
Furthermore, shortly after its release, “2” climbed to the top of iTunes and Apple Music charts in several countries worldwide. As reported by Cube Entertainment, by January 30 KST, “2” had already topped the iTunes Top Albums charts in at least 24 different regions, including Australia, Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, among others.
“2” also secured the No. 1 spot on Apple Music Top Albums charts in at least eight different regions, including South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, and Singapore.
